FAA 139.313 refers to the snow and ice control and how to manage the same with regards to airport security. On the airport field, snow can create dangerous accidents and have fatal consequences. Thus proper management and systems must be developed to clear the snow and ice from the runway and also from the aircraft. Part 139.313 of the FAA plan states that all airports must have a SICP structure as well (Price & Forrest, 2016). This plan explains and describes the various processes and procedures to remove snow and ice, as well as slush from the engines, engine pods, propellers, wingtips and rotors.
